Due to high internal heat loads, telecommunication sites require year-round cooling, even when outside temperatures are cold. Conventional residential and commercial air conditioners are not designed to operate below 60°F (15°C). Our units are designed specifically for this application and have all the necessary controls, features and safeguards. TechnoStar manufactures the wall-mounted air conditioners (Backpack), with cooling capacities from 1.5 to 10 tons in a variety of styles and configurations and high-efficiency models with EER up to 11.75. Options include variable speed and 2-stage compressors, hot gas reheating for dehumidification, electric resistance heat, factory-installed kits to operate in extremely hot or cold climates and many more.
